Hi, everyone,

Thank you for inviting me to judge this year's Eighth Annual International Juried Competition, iPhonography 2022

Many of you may remember that I judged the 2015 competition, too.

How far mobile photography has come since those early days!

I'm excited that you've grown alongside the technology and are continuing the iPhone photography tradition with your annual iPhoneography competition.

Many of us have stayed in touch over the years, but for those who I've lost touch with, and new members, I'd like to share some of what I'm doing and invite you to visit some links and see how my photography business has grown since we all got together for that iPhoneography competition in 2015.

I hope you find some resources that will support you along your photography journey. Maybe we'll even get the chance to travel and photograph together on one of the trips scheduled for 2022.

Here are a few things of note that you may not know about me:

  • In addition to mobile photography, I also photograph with Fuji equipment and have for many years.
  • I enjoy infrared photography with my Fuji X-T1 and a LUMIX DMC LX7 point-and-shoot, both converted to 720nm by Spencer's Camera. If you have an interest in having a camera converted to infrared, Spencer's is a great option and you can get a discount with my discount code RADDREW25. If you work with Spencer's Camera, ask for Clarence and say Hi! for me.
  • In the last year and a half, with the help of some smart friends, I figured out how to create infrared images with my iPhone. If you have an interest in using your iPhone to make infrared photographs, you're invited to visit (or join!) our Facebook Group: Open Group! Infrared on the iPhone. Our over 700 members are doing some amazing work as we all explore this new and unknown territory of infrared with our iPhones. Look for inspiration, camaraderie, tips, and how-to instruction, including my 90-minute webinar, How I Did It!™; Create Infrared Images on your iPhone.

  • I enjoy using Topaz Labs desktop software for processing both Fuji and iPhone images. I've been a Topaz Labs Affiliate for about seven years and, as such, can offer you a 15% discount on all Topaz tools and Topaz license renewals when you use my link and code in combination.

  • I've lead many trips over the years to Tuscany, Calabria, The Palouse, Cape Code, Amish Country in Ohio, the South of France, Moloka'i, and Cuba. Here's a link to the scheduled trips for 2022

Thanks again for inviting me to judge this year's competition. I hope to see you in the coming months, either on-line or, better yet, in the field!

Until then, be safe, stay well, and keep on creating!

Best,

Rad
